My voice just doesn’t seem to reach
Outside of my own loss and pain
I search for praises, digging deep,
But all I find are clouds and rain .
There is no reason for my pain,
The world is just as it should be;
Yet I can’t seem to get beyond
The dark cloud hanging over me.
I close my eyes and breathe in deep
Then search the cloud draped skies for light
Somewhere up there the darkness breaks
And I just have to hold on tight
