In the hurry and the worry,
With all I need to do,
I often forget to take time
To just be still with You.
I’ve laid so many plans in place
Based on the world of man,
That I seem to have forgotten
Yours is the better plan.
It took me time to remember
What I now clearly see,
That I need to give You the time
You’ve always given me.
Lord, I will sit down and be still,
For time with You is dear.
I’ll listen for that still, small voice,
I hear when You are near.
