I'm Too Afraid

Why did you ask me to do that?

Lord, that task seems too great.
If I were to try doing that
I’d be tempting my fate.
 
Oh Lord, please ask somebody else,
Please don’t ask this of me,
For I am much more frightened than
I ever thought I’d be.
 
Oh Lord, If I must be the one,
Please strengthen me to try.
I’m terrified to do it, Lord,
But for You, I will fly!
