A leap of faith’s a simple thing,
What is harder done, by far,
Is knowing if it’s so.
Is this a leap I want to make,
Or is this leap for you?
I’m so afraid it’s just a whim,
I don’t know what to do.
I don’t want hesitation to
Imply my faith is small,
But if it’s just a vain impulse
Then I won’t jump at all.
Oh Lord, please help me recognize
If I should leap or stay.
Just let me know which way to go
And I’ll be on my way!
