Luke 2:8-11

Touched by the twinkling little lights,
She gazes past the tree;
Reflecting on another time,
A place near Galilee,
Another child, who watched the sheep,
And saw the twinkling light
That mingled with the angel’s songs
On that first Christmas night.

What did that other little child
Believe had come to pass
As he sat trembling while his sheep
Munched quietly the grass
That ruffled in the sudden breeze
Of all those angel wings?
And did he understand their songs
Announced the king of kings?

Luke 2: 8-11
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
