When You Call - Re-Posted

Although I’ve lived my life in sin,
You’ve shown me such mercy
That I cannot but jump and run
Each time You call to me.

You came not for those without sin,
But for the likes of me,
So I will answer to Your call,
Doing so happily.

Oh Lord, I leap up with such joy
That, sinner though I be,
You find me worthy of your love
And of Your vast mercy.

So call to me, Lord, I will come
And do so with great glee,
Running as swiftly as I can,
Because You came for me.

Matthew 9:13
But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
