defiance of the darkness

consumes the winter days

offer a song of sunlight.

You, Lord, I sing my praise.
Born
upon a distant morning
Deep
within the cold of night

the answer to the darkness,
Jesus
Christ, the Lord of Light.
All
the colors of the heavens
Captured
in the morning sky
Join
with me in exaltation
Praising
Him, the Lord on High!
