My Floods

When troubles rise around me, Lord,
I call to You in fear.
I need to know You hear my call
And that you’re somewhere near.

But when the world is going great
And I’m not in distress,
I find I that reaching out to You
Seems to happen much less.

So if this current round of floods
Is Your reach out to me,
Then please know Lord, I’m listening,
And most attentively.

I thank You that You took the time
To rustle up a squall,
I’m sorry that I made You wait
Til floods broke loose to call.

Psalm 32:7
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Many thanks to AC for catching this great shot in Nisqually flats and sharing it with us!
