Touch of Light

Tonight I saw your handiwork
As the sun settled down.
It brushed the trees with golden light
That burnished every crown.

But underneath the deepest green
Still marked the water’s rim.
They stood in silent vigil where
Their still reflections swim.

I felt my breath stop in my throat,
For, without doubt, I knew
That such a moment, such beauty,
Can only come from You.

Ezekiel 31:4
The waters nourished it, deep springs made it grow tall; their streams flowed all around its base and sent their channels to all the trees of the field.
