Looking Back with Joy - Re-Posted

She feels the years a little more
As each day passes by,
But as she counts the long years past
A smile touches her eye.

There were those years, more than a few,
When life had been so rough,
But there were many, many more
Filled with more than enough.

She weighs them all in the balance
And finds more joy than tears,
More love, more laughter and delight
Than all the cares and fears.

Although her hair is growing white,
And time’s not on her side,
She smiles, content that when she goes,

The love she lived will bide.
