Promises

Your promise rests within my heart,

A blossom, small and frail.
Though I may falter in my faith,
Your promises don’t fail,
 
I may not see how your promise
Can be fulfilled in me,
But I believe, despite my doubts,
That you’ll bring it to be.

So I will guard the promises

You’ve planted in my heart,
And wait with faithful patience, Lord,
Until the blooming starts.
