The sun shone brightly through the dawn
To light the coming day,
Dancing upon the chilly tides
As if it longed to say,
“I must be moving on ere long,
Then darkness will close in,
So come and live within my light
Before I’m gone again.”
“I’m only with you for a while,
So live within my light,
And if you hold me in your heart
You’ll never fear the night.”
I know the sun will never speak
The words I love to hear,
But it reminded me of you
And that you’re always near.
John 12: 35-36
35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. 36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.
