Smattering of Joy - Re-Posted

A smattering of simple joy
Is all it took today
To take the worries dogging me
And chase them far away.

Their cheery faces smiled at me
As I was passing by.
And willingly I relinquished
My last unhappy sigh.

How did He know that I would pass
This spot on just this day
To set such joyful little blooms
Where I’d pass on my way.

With nothing now but hopeful faith
To carry me on through,
I have a feeling better days
Are coming, thanks to You.
