Hiding In Shame- Re-Posted

I hope You didn’t see me, Lord,

When I did what I did.
I’m old enough to know better,
But behaved like a kid.
 
I hope You didn’t hear me, Lord,
When I said what I said.
I had a mean thought deep inside
That popped out of my head.

I hope you didn’t notice me,

Lord, I just misbehaved.
I want to act as You’d expect
From one that you have saved,
 
But I too often realize
That, much to my dismay,
I have behaved so poorly that
I hope You looked away.
