Solitude and You

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I seek out solitude and peace

When each day’s work is through.

I find I relish the silence

And time to spend with You.

 

I want to be the good neighbor

That we are called to be,

But sometimes I need seclusion

From all humanity.

 

I need to set aside the time

To be still beside You

And hear what You want me to know,

What you want me to do.

 

I’m grateful for the work I do,

But I can truly say,

I’m more grateful for time with You

To just be still and pray.
