You knew I needed one whole day
To watch the waves drift by,
To listen to the breezes dance
Beneath the cloud swept sky.
A day to sit and watch the birds,
The busy bumble bee,
And listen to the sound of peace.
You gave that day to me.
You always know just what I need,
Although I seldom do,
And I am grateful for the gift
Of this day’s peace, and You.
