I place each day within Your hand,

No safer place to be,

And try to give this world the best

Version I know of me.

 

I know that each day I fall short,

I’m broken through and through,

But I still start out each new day

Trying to live like You.

 

You set a standard I can’t match,

But I will keep trying.

For that is what You ask of me…
