Canceled plans

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So many plans I had in place,

But, as each one fell through,

I recognized a new blessing

Sent straight to me from You.

 

I laid my plans, and made my list

Of all I had to do.

Then, one by one, plans fell apart

And for that, I thank You.

 

I hadn’t understood the need

To just be still today,

But You knew what I needed, Lord,

And You sent it my way.

 

I’m grateful for Your perfect love,

Your patience every day,

And that You know me well enough

To cast my plans away!

 

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
