What hope have I against the storm,
Where do I find refuge?
How can I ever hope to stand
Within its fierce deluge?
I cry out to the Lord in fear,
I call Him in my pain,
And, though I hear Him answer me,
My troubles still remain.
Yet, in my heart I find new peace,
The strength to rise once more
And stand up in the torrent’s path
Despite what lies in store.
For, what I face, I face with Him,
With His strength, not my own.
For He is my peace, my stronghold,
And I’m never alone.
Nahum 1:7
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he
knows those who take refuge in him.
