Matthew 23: 27-28 The Woes Part 6

Woe to you, oh you hypocrites!
Your virtue is your flaw.
You seek to stand above mankind
Yet live outside the law.

You preen and preach your righteousness,
Yet practice every sin,
As long as it’s reserved for you,
But not for other men.

You claim to stand strong on your word,
And yet, when out of sight,
You violate your “sacred truths”
With such selfish delight.

Oh, woe to you, for truth comes out,
And there, on full display
To all the world, your secret shame,
Your bleak and grim decay.

Let go your self-righteous facade,
Live the truth you proclaim,
Lest you become snared in your lies
And lost within your shame.

Matthew 23: 27-28
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
