Woe to you who fix your sight
On matters without worth,
While letting fall beside the way
Your true calling on earth.
To adhere to the artifice
And let go of the law
Is more than a mere oversight.
It is a mortal flaw.
The law was set in place by Him
The artifice is man’s,
Designed to distract His children
From His design and plans.
Woe to you who choose artifice
Above His law, His grace.
You’ve given up what matters most,
With nothing in its place
Matthew 23:23-24
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you
tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the
law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without
neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a
camel!
