In Sorrow and Pain

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lord, let me not dwell in sorrow,

Lift me from my despair.

When all the world abandons me,

Lord, let me know You’re there.

 

I cry out to You in my pain,

In hope, I lift my voice

And sing my praises to You, Lord.

Though I weep, I’ll rejoice.

 

You’re my hope, my sanctuary,

It is to You I cling.

In faith I hold on to Your love

Through all this life can bring.

 

Oh Lord, please hear me in my grief,

Command my tears to cease

And let my spirit know once more

Your true and perfect peace.

 

Isaiah 26:3

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
