A Morning Prayer

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I pray that peace in the chaos,

Is something I can find.

I pray that I’ll know Your stillness

And it will calm my mind.

 

I pray I’ll offer extra grace

To those met on the way,

Because I find myself in need

Of extra grace each day.

 

I pray that I’ll turn from the sin

That stalks me in this life

And keep my heart and mind focused

On living without strife.  

 

I pray that, with each new day’s dawn,

I’ll find a way to be

Less like the wayward soul I am,

Be a more Christlike me.
