Before the darkness, You were there,

The void answered Your call,

And Yours will be the final word

Before creation’s fall.

 

You knew me before I was born,

You loved me in the womb

And You will love me even when

They lay me in my tomb.

 

You were the first, You’ll be the last

You’re all that’s in between.

There is no point in creation

That You have never seen.

 

No matter what this world offers

To distract me from You,

You’re the beginning and the end,

The Light that leads me through.
