The little moments filled with joy
That come and then move on,
Still linger in the grateful heart
Long after they are gone.
It may not have meant very much
In the great scope of things,
But looking back I still recall
The joy that moment brings.
They are just daises in a bed
That my father had grown,
But each year the bed bloomed with joy
That my father had sown.
So is it with God’s simple gifts.
They sometimes seem so small,
But when we look back upon them
Great joy’s what we recall.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of
his name; give to him glorious praise!
