The gift of loving grace.

You took the weariness away

And left joy in its place.

 

An old friend I have missed too long,

Sweet laughter and some tears,

And suddenly it seemed like days

Since we had talked, not years.

 

We spoke of family and friends,

Of faith and a new plan

To find the time, to make a way

To cross our paths again.

 

Oh, Lord, that was the perfect gift

To brighten up my day.

Thank You for knowing what I’d love
