Advent Day 3 - In Prophecy

Matthew 1:22-23

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

Prophets of old spoke of His birth

His life, even His death.

They promised He would rise again,

Heaven’s King from first breath

The prophets spoke these truths to those

Who listened without thought,

Those who believed they were just words,

Not God’s truth to be wrought.

So, when the time came for His birth,

They could not understand

That this was He, of prophecy,

Born to prove God’s Command.
