Some Time With You

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m getting back in the rhythm

Before it’s lost to me.

I know I had a few days off,

But here’s where I should be.

 

I took some time with those I love,

With more time on the way.

Yet, I have missed my time with You,

So, I’ll take some today.

 

I never knew how much I need

The quiet time we share,

But when I went without it, Lord,

I knew it wasn’t there.

 

I know that I’m not out of sight

When I am not in prayer,

But I still long for time each day

When we can both be there.

 

When all the world steps back a bit

And it’s just You and me,

I am reminded how much I

Enjoy Your company.
