Bearing Patiently

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Teach me to walk in patience, Lord,

With others and with me.

For patience is not my strong suit

And it really should be.

 

I need to practice forgiveness

And more understanding.

I need to know that I can give

The grace Your love can bring.

 

I need to know it’s not my will,

But Yours that I should live

I need to walk in humbleness

And to lovingly give.

 

So many ways I still fall short

Of who I’m called to be.

Teach me to walk with the patience

That You always show me.
