Strong In You

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Remind me once again tonight

Of whom I’m meant to be,

Because I seem to have strayed far

From that more grace-filled me.

 

I seem to have forgotten that

Patience is a virtue.

I found myself acting like me

And, sadly, not like You.

 

I know I’m not that bad a sort,

But I’m called to be more.

It’s days like this that help me see

That’s such a complex chore.

 

But then I recall who’s in charge

And how it’s meant to be.

When I am weak and let You down,

Your strength will strengthen me.

 

2 Corinthians 12:10

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
