As nature hurries to Your call,
And heaven leaps to hear,
Lord I, too, wish to rise with haste
Whenever You are near.
But I am such a wayward soul,
I sometimes ask if You
Are sure that, which You’ve asked of me,
Is what I ought to do?”
I Love You, Lord, with all my heart,
Yet I am prone to doubt,
And that can leave me wondering
If I’ve left something out.
I pray, Lord, You will teach me how
To recognize Your voice,
That I, too, may rise when You speak,
To answer and rejoice!
Psalm 42:1
As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for
you, O God.
