In His Righteousness

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We’re called to live in righteousness,

But not that of mankind.

We’re called to walk in His footsteps

And leave our own behind.

 

We’re called to live as He lived life,

Take other’s needs to heart

And to let kindness be the place

Where our words have their start.

 

I want to walk as we’ve been called,

Though I’ve a ways to go.

I want to stand in righteousness,

But this much I do know…

 

I cannot stand in righteousness

That is my own to claim,

But in the righteousness of grace

Found in His holy name.
