They just showed up and settled in,
As if my home was theirs.
I thought of asking them to leave,
They gave me such cold stares.
Then I remembered we are called
To hospitality.
Not only for those whom we love,
But even such as these.
For wild and inconsiderate
As they all seemed to be,
There was a sweetness in the way
They all kept company.
I guess it really did no harm
To let them rest and stay,
And in the end, though not angels,
They did all fly away.
Hebrews 13:2
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for
thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
