We
fight for what we have on earth,
We
scrimp and scrape and save.
Then
comes the day we realize
We’ll
leave it at our grave.
The
treasures that we store on earth
Are
not those that we need,
They
are the treasures born of fear,
Of
hunger or of greed.
The
treasures that we should pursue
Are
those found in The Word,
Like
mercy, faith, abundant grace,
Things
this world deems absurd.
Work
for that which you need in life,
But
give back when you can,
And
treasure every word of God,
Not
those of mortal man.
Lamentations
3:24
“The
Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
