Thank you for the lesson learned,

The reminder of Grace

That comes not from obligation,

But from a loving place.

 

It reminded me once again

Where my heart’s meant to be,

With those who walk the way with me

And not with property.

 

The value lay not in the gift,

But in the giver’s heart.

That was the best part of the gift

Right from the very start!
