Be Still and Rejoice

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The fuss and chaos of this day

Is bobbing in my wake

And I am looking forward to

Time for a little break.

 

But first I wanted to thank You

For the joy in this day

And for the moments of sweet grace

You clearly sent my way.

 

Each day comes with its ups and downs,

But, when each day is through,

I count more blessings than problems

And that comes straight from You.

 

For You have taught me to rejoice,

To not dwell on dismay,

And I have always found more joy

Than sorrow, come what may.

 

So I will sit a while in peace,

Thankful I have that choice.

I’ll just be still and know You’re God,

And then I will rejoice!
