Full of Darkness

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The wind is bitter in the night,

The stars are cold and clear,

But I am safely in Your care,

For You are ever near.

 

Yet, there are those out in the night

Who’ve turned away from You.

They are alone in the darkness

Where bitter winds cut through.

 

Oh Lord, You are their only hope,

And yet they turn away.

They do not want to hear Your words,

No matter what You say.

 

Their souls are trapped in a tight net

From which they can’t break free.

You stand beside them, call their names,

But they won’t hear or see.

 

The wind is bitter in the night,

But colder still are they.

For You have called them to be Yours,

And they have turned away.  

 

Matthew 6:23

but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
