Today’s been one of reflection
On who and where I’ve been.
The choices that led me into
And then back out of sin.
The words I’ve spoken in anger,
That I’ll always regret,
And lessons learned from those I love
That I must not forget.
The love that holds me when I hurt,
The light that marks my way,
The strength to walk on in the faith
That He’s with me each day.
In reflecting on who I’ve been
And who I hope to be,
I pray that I will someday see
Him reflecting in me.
Proverbs 27:19
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man
reflects the man.
