A little bit of sunshine, Lord,
To light a cloudy day.
Why is it that a moment’s grace
Can wipe the tears away.
I still don’t truly comprehend
Why You should love me so,
But I am grateful for such love
And I will not let go.
Even when I am far afield
You call and I return,
As if I long to hear Your voice,
And for Your love, I yearn.
I thank You, Lord, with a full heart
For the small gifts of grace,
Like sweet light on a cloudy day,
Reflecting heaven’s face.
