Your Peace

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lord, peace is my prayer for this night.

That peace that calms the soul.

The peace that fills the empty heart

And makes the broken whole.

 

The peace that leads the lost back home,

That stills the guns of war.

I pray for peace that heals the soul

Of sin’s festering scar.

 

I pray for peace that soothes the rage

In a vindictive heart,

The peace upon which hope can build,

The peace of a fresh start.

 

Tonight I pray for that peace, Lord,

Which only You can bring,

A peace so great that it exceeds

Human understanding.

 

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
