Comfort and Be Comforted

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It’s easy to get lost in life,

To let the stress slip in

Until we feel, however blessed,

That we can never win.

 

Yet there is a great mercy in

The love that’s born in Him,

For it brings light into the dark,

However deep or grim.

 

The comfort that we long to know,

The peace that we each need,

Is there within His loving grace,

And with no need to plead.

 

His comfort’s there for us to claim,

But, even more, to share,

With those still trapped in the darkness

Of pain and of despair.

 

For, as His comfort fills our hearts,

So let it flow on through

That the peace you receive from God,

Others may receive, too.

 

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
