The blessings just keep rushing in,
But I still cannot see
How such blessings could have been sent
To a lost soul like me.
I looked for trouble and found You.
There, in the wilderness,
You called to me and spoke of love
With grace, and forgiveness.
I know I promised I would be
Better than I have been,
But I am still a broken soul
Stained by a life of sin.
That’s why I cannot understand
How You could love me so.
When I expected punishment,
You let great blessings flow.
Romans 5:8
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.
