We
speak of causes, grand and fine,
Despising
those who doubt
Without
understanding the grace
Mankind
can’t live without.
We
rage and roar about the cause,
Calling
skeptics to shame.
Those
who chose to think differently
Are
marked for scorn and blame.
However
fine the words we speak
For
the cause we applaud
They
are but noise to those we chide,
Without
merit or laud.
But
words spoken with loving grace
Can
impact so much more,
For
hearts will listen to wise words
Without
the snarl and roar.
Speak
gently and with loving grace,
That
your words may hold weight
For
loving words hold more power
Than
raging and debate.
1
Corinthians 13:1
If
I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a
resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
