Giving Gifts

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The gifts we give should come from love,

Not mere pretense or show.

The sacrifices that we make,

Nobody else should know.

 

It’s not the gift that lifts the lost,

But the love that we give.

While gifts my help with daily life,

It’s love that helps us live.

 

Let that which you give come from love,

Then hold within your heart

The blessings born from love that’s shared.

That is giving’s best part.

 

1 Corinthians 13:3

If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
