Comfort In Your Light

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Within the dark half of the year,

I find my heart is torn

Between all that’s been lost before

And what will be reborn.

 

I know that sorrow’s part of life,

But joy is a part, too.

They both exist within Your plan

Despite all we can do.

 

The darkness of the world tonight

Reminds me of what’s lost,

But dawn reminds of this truth,

That You have paid the cost.

 

You’ve overcome the world’s darkness,

Your light has set us free.

There may be sorrows in this life,

But Your love comforts me.
