Love puts the past where it belongs,

And leaves it in its wake.

For there’s no blessing to be found

Burnishing a mistake.

 

Love doesn’t seek to dishonor,

Disparage or defame.

Love keeps in mind that we all bear

Our fair share of the blame.

 

Love doesn’t waste time on such things

As anger, pain and doubt.

It’s heart is set on patient grace,

For that’s what love’s about.

 

1 Corinthians 13:5

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
