Troubles and Grace

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The world was weighing on my soul,

Crushing me in between

A broken heart and outright rage

At all that I have seen.

 

But then something came back to me,

Something that I had heard,

A promise to which I could cling

That I’d found in The Word.

 

There will be troubles in this world,

Of that I am quite sure,

But He who formed it, guards it still

And His grace is the cure.

 

For He who overcame this world

Still watches over me,

And, though this world may break my heart,

His Peace will set me free!  

 

John 16:33

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
