The
long weekend comes to an end.
The
sun sets into gold,
And
lights the inlet with a joy
That
I can almost hold.
The
breezes settle in the grass,
The
birds rest in the tree,
And
the last ducks fly swiftly home,
Dancing
above the sea.
Tomorrow
I will start again
The
wild and frenzied race,
But,
for tonight, I will lie down
And
rest within Your Grace.
Within
the peace that’s born in You,
I’ll
rest, then rise at dawn
And
lift my voice in grateful praise,
Pick
up and carry on.
Thank
You for this moment of stillness and peace. I love You.
