The True Light

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Light shone on a darkened world,

And hope was born anew.

Despair rolled back like scattered mist

At the Light’s golden hue.

 

The darkness shuddered in defeat

As the Light spread and grew.

The whole world sang in rejoicing,

For that Light, born in You.

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
