What is Joy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today I want to speak of joy,

The kind that lifts the soul

And warms the corners of your heart

To make what’s broken whole.

 

Joy isn’t for the now and then,

When life’s going your way.

Joy is a celebration of

Life in all its array.

 

Bright sunlight on the winter snow,

Seagulls, dancing the wind,

Joy can be something simple as

Laughing with an old friend.

 

Our lives are filled with little joys,

If we just look around,

The blessings of a loving God

With which our lives abound!

For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
